The Disney Dream our very first Disney Cruise. It had everything our family needed and quickly became our little home away from home. One of my favourite moments each day was getting up early and going for breakfast with or without the kids.
The split bathroom is one of my favourite features on Disney Cruise Line. It makes getting ready so much easier, especially when travelling with kids. There was plenty of storage throughout the room, and we never felt cramped, even after unpacking for the cruise. Even when our stateroom got a little cluttery.

Dining Options
This cruise was our first experience with rotational dining but it is one of the reasons we keep coming back. Having the same serving team each night really makes a difference. They quickly learn your family's preferences and make every meal feel personal.
During our sailing we enjoyed Animator's Palate, Royal Palace, and Enchanted Garden.
Animator's Palate is always a favourite. Watching the restaurant transform throughout dinner is such a unique Disney experience and one that first-time cruisers shouldn't miss.
Royal Palace offers a beautiful, elegant atmosphere inspired by Disney royalty, while Enchanted Garden changes throughout your meal, creating a relaxing setting unlike any other restaurant at sea.
For breakfast and lunch, we often visited Cabanas, which offered a great selection of hot and cold options. We also found ourselves grabbing quick meals from Flo's Café, whether it was burgers, pizza, sandwiches, or chicken tenders before heading back to enjoy the pool.
With this being our first Disney Cruise, we didn't get to enjoy spending any time in some of the ship's lounges. But I did grab a coffee or two. If your looking to escape the crowds for a little while, there were plenty of comfortable spaces to unwind. Adults can also enjoy Pink: Wine and Champagne Bar, Skyline, District Lounge, and Pub 687, each offering its own unique atmosphere.
Entertainment
Disney Dream certainly didn't disappoint when it came to the entertainment.
The Broadway-style productions were incredible, especially Beauty and the Beast (I cried), which remains one of my favourite Disney Cruise Line shows. Between the live theatre, deck parties, Pirate Night, first-run Disney movies, and character meet-and-greets, there was never a shortage of entertainment.
One thing we really enjoy is simply sitting/standing in the pool and watching Disney movies on Funnel Vision while soaking up the sunshine.
This was also a Merrytime cruise, so there was a massive gingerbread house in the atrium and Christmas tree.
Pools
A Sea day meant spending plenty of time around the pools. The kids loved swimming while Disney movies played overhead, and the AquaDuck is still one of the most fun attractions at sea.
Younger cruisers had a blast at Nemo's Reef splash area, while adults looking for a quieter experience could escape to the adults-only Quiet Cove Pool.
Activities
Whether you enjoy trivia, game shows, crafts, character greetings, dance parties, or simply relaxing around the ship, there's always something happening aboard the Disney Dream.
Kids can spend hours exploring Disney's Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab, while Edge and Vibe give tweens and teens their own spaces to hang out.
One of my favourite things about Disney Cruise Line is that every family can create the vacation that works for them. You can fill your day with activities or simply enjoy slowing down and taking in the ocean views.
