Oogie Boogie Bash 2025: Everything You Need to Know

Well, well, well, what do we have here? Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party* is sneaking up very soon at Disneyland Resort, and I have the official guide to all the excitement.

On select nights from Aug. 17 through Oct. 31, 2025, this separately ticketed, after-hours event at Disney California Adventure park brings Halloween mischief and mayhem to guests of all ages.

As of the time of publication, tickets are available for select dates in August. For those celebrating Summerween, Oogie Boogie Bash offers an exciting way to kick off the spooky season early.

What’s Included with a Ticket to Oogie Boogie Bash?

On event nights, the party officially kicks off at 6:00 p.m. and goes on until 11:00 p.m., offering five thrilling hours to enjoy unique Halloween experiences exclusive to this after-hours celebration.

Pre-party park mix-in: Oogie Boogie Bash tickets grant access to California Adventure starting at 3:00 p.m., three hours before the party begins! During this time, you can explore attractions available during regular park hours.

Photos from the party: You can enjoy unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass** photos taken during the event. They can scan the QR code on their event wristband through the Disneyland app to access their photo gallery. The pictures can be downloaded from your MyDisney account as many times as you wish, up to 45 days after they are taken.

Commemorative event guide: The beautifully designed map serves as a handy reference during the party and becomes a collectible keepsake to remember their visit afterward.

Oogie Boogie Bash Costume Tips and Dress Code

A highlight of the Oogie Boogie Bash is the chance for everyone to dress up in costumes. You are encouraged to get imaginative, create a clever disguise, or embrace your villainous side but just remember to adhere to the costume guidelines.

Tip: You should bring a sweater for when the breeze brings extra chills. Comfortable shoes are also highly recommended.

Treat Trails and Character Encounters

Children and those young at heart can gather treats - such as M&M’S, SKITTLES, SNICKERS, and more at 12 treat trails! However, you should be prepared to encounter villains and other legendary misfits along the way.

Cast members are present at each Treat Trail to provide alternative options for those seeking allergy-friendly and no-sugar-added treats.

You can also meet Disney characters in Halloween costumes and some rarely seen friends at special greeting spots throughout the park. 

“Frightfully Fun Parade”

Scheduled to perform 7:45 p.m. and 10 p.m. on party nights

The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow, Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, cheerful spirits from the Haunted Mansion, and more take over the streets of California Adventure during the “Frightfully Fun Parade.” This wicked event is exclusively available to guests during the Oogie Boogie Bash.

Available for an extra fee, the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party offers preferred seating for the “Frightfully Fun Parade,” delicious treats, beverages, and a collectible enamel pin. As the parade makes its way through the park, guests can enjoy freeze-dried fruit with gummy worms, a blueberry ooze cake, mini cupcakes, and more. Advanced reservations are highly recommended.

Villains Grove at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail

Villains Grove at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail offers a walkthrough experience featuring surreal landscapes inspired by iconic Disney Villains. You are immersed in the mystical lights, sights, and sounds that capture the essence of Dr. Facilier, Frollo, Scar, and other beloved villains.

Shorter Ride Wait Times

Alongside the unique party offerings, you can benefit from reduced wait times for certain rides. It's an excellent chance to enjoy popular attractions such as Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark!, Toy Story Midway Mania! (featuring special tributes to the 70^th Celebration), and Incredicoaster.

Oogie Boogie Bash Food and a New Sipper

Prior to the official start of the party, you can enjoy food and beverages available during the park's regular hours. Starting August 22, there will be a variety of seasonal options to sample, from a pumpkin pie churro to an achiote half-chicken.
