Whether it's enjoying a tasty Halloween-themed treat or experiencing an attraction with a spooky twist, everyone has their own way of spending time at The Happiest Place on Earth this fall.

If meeting characters is a priority, guests are in for a treat with an impressive lineup of friendly (and sometimes mischievous!) characters throughout the Disneyland Resort.

Upon entering the gates of Disney California Adventure park, you will find yourself immersed in festive fall decorations and eerie music along Buena Vista Street, extending all the way to Carthay Circle Restaurant.

As the imposing Headless Horseman statue stands near Elias & Co., Mickey Mouse and his friends make appearances on Buena Vista Street, where guests can catch them in their festive Halloween costumes, including:

After you indulge in a Pumpkin Pie Churro, a Slow Burnin’ Mac and Cheese Cone, and a delicious Ube-Vanilla Twist Soft-serve, you should definitely look out for Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater, and Red the Firetruck in their most creative car-stumes. 

Party with Characters at “Mickey’s Trick and Treat”

This season, when visiting Hollywood Land, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy will don costumes for a Halloween party during “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” at the Disney Theater.

For a fun and relaxed experience for the entire family, featuring two original Halloween songs, vibrant video projections, spooky special effects, bubbles, and a not-so-scary story, you should explore this interactive stage show that your children will love.

Sing with Characters During Plaza de la Familia

Inspired by the spirit of Día de los Muertos, Plaza de la Familia offers guests the chance to enjoy live entertainment from the “Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco!” This joyful experience fills the area around Paradise Gardens Park from August 22 to November 2.

As they sing and dance to the music, guests should watch for a hand-animated dimensional figure of Miguel and other characters inspired by Pixar Animation Studios’ Coco.

This year, when Mickey, Minnie, and their friends arrive at Disneyland for Halloween Time, they'll be dressed in new Halloween-themed outfits that add a twist to their 70th Celebration costumes, showcasing swirling hues of purple, green, and orange. You can find character appearance times by checking the Disneyland app during their next visit to the park.
